Mulberry St. Bakery:

Vehicle Wrap Templates & Mockups

For this project in Graphic Reproduction Processes at Valencia College, I was tasked with creating ad wraps and templates for a bus and a van. Mulberry St. Bakery is a fictional local business that I created for this assignment, inspired by the Italian bakeries I was surrounded with growing up in New York, and often miss.

In order to give this project context, I created a backstory for this fictional business, which is that Mulberry St. Bakery was started in New York City, on Mulberry Street in Little Italy, in 1929. It is a family business that had been passed down for generations. The family that owns Mulberry St. Bakery moved to Orlando, taking its business with them.

The color scheme, the style of my logo, and the overall theme reflect the ambience of Little Italy, while my font choices and the simplicity of my vector illustrations represent the aesthetic of a small business in Orlando. I added hints of texture to my illustrations using vector brushes to represent cocoa powder, chocolate drizzle, and jam. Using those same vectors, I created an allover pattern.

When applying these elements to my bus and van templates, I applied a gradient mask to the pattern, allowing it to fade for the logo and typography to pop. I combined the photos of the bus and van with my ad wrap designs, using a layer mask in Photoshop, and removed the background using a clipping mask in Illustrator for a clean presentation.
